Emerge

The Emerge Programme connects students from different universities to help them form impactful start-up teams and through early stages of product building.

This programme

Meet like-minded students from different universities, receive mentorship and take your first steps as student entrepreneurs. With our network of experienced industry professionals, top firms and expert-led workshops, we help students to develop their ideas and form teams with a strong founder-idea fit.

Kickstart Global creates a fail-safe environment by investing over £15,000 worth of resources in each team to develop their idea - asking for no equity in return.

The programme is planned to be delivered in a hybrid format with many events taking place in-person in London.

FAQs

  • Early application deadline: 17th October 2022
Late application deadline: Mid-November 2022 (TBA)

If you apply before the early deadline you will join our community earlier and get stuck in sooner so we encourage you do so!

  • We are open to both students and recent graduates from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We are looking for curious students who are eager to solve problems and want to make an impact.

The programme will be hybrid so we are not restricting applications to London-based students but please keep consider that in-person events will be held in London and if you wish to attend you will have to travel for these.

  • Our programme is here to help you take that idea to the next stage - we welcome individuals (or teams) that have already started working on their idea. We are here to help you find potential co-founders and guide you through the hard first steps to make this idea a reality.

However please keep in mind that this programme is focused on the Ideation stage through to MVP so if you’re already quite advanced this may not be the programme for you - perhaps apply for our summer Acceleration programme instead!

  • Yes you can still apply to the programme - each team member will have to submit a separate application and there’s a section where you can specify who your existing team members are.

Please keep in mind the first couple weeks of our programme are based around building a team and networking and regardless of whether you have a team already, make the most of the opportunity to meet and learn from other people!

  • In short, no. The programme is designed in such way that you will have guidance on the basics of building a startup through our workshops and mentorship.

It is more important to us how proactive you are and how you apply and develop your skills rather than how much experience you have.

  • Building a startup is no small endeavour, hence we expect you to have no significant commitments beyond University and Kickstart. All startups must attend weekly workshops and mentoring meetings.

Web 3.0 stream participants will receive generalist cohort workshops with the addition of sessions on specialist topics throughout the programme.
